A motion by Dave Brandon that a committee be formed to work towards having canoe on Peck's Lake, seconded by Arlene Superko. Shirley Garrison was named to chair this committee.
WATER LEVEL Tom Aery reported that the water level seems to be quite low this year and Niagara Mohawk has been contacted by letter. The present lowering schedule is one foot below the top of the spillway by the end of June, 2 feet by the end of July and 3 feet by the end of August. It has been requested that this be delayed by one month. This is being considered by NiMo. The PLPA has been notified that the earthen dam will be repaired this fall and the water level will be lowered 7-8 beginning October 1, 1977. Boats and docks should be taken out by the end of September.

Mr. Lucas also brought to the attention of the meeting the fact of a sewage dump on the Hohler Road about 1200 feet from a stream that enters Beaver Bay area of Peck's Lake. There will be a public hearing about the permit for the dump in the near future. This was passed. Don Stanyon then moved with Bill Nestork, who seconded that the association get legal advice as to what our position could be in 5 to 10 years if the pollution does occur over a period of time and that the association have the engineer testify at the public hearing if it is to the benefit of the PLPA. We thanked Mr. Lucas for speaking to us.
