CALL TO ORDER Approximately 50 members were present at the PLPA Annual Meeting held on Saturday, September 1, 1979 at Peck's Boat Barn. President Bob Van Voast called the meeting to order at 10:10am. Secretary Shirley Garrison read the minutes of last years meeting and they were approved as read.

TREASURER'S REPORT Treasurer Art Leytham reported that the Association operates it's fiscal year 7/1 to 6/30. As of June 30, 1979 cash on hand was $5,491.82. To date there are 96 paid members. Members approved the report as read. President Bob read Harold Neal's letter verifying his audit of the books and thanked Art and Harold for their efforts. President Bob asked if there were any suggestions for the use of treasury money. It was mentioned that this amount could be for emergency use at some future time.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE In Mike Ringanese's absence, Bob Van Voast reported on the membership committee. There are at present 96 members out of 131 property owners. A list of new members was read as follows: David & Betty Covell, Bruce Dreher, George Dresch, Will & Virginia Hamm, Bill & Hazel Livingston, Larry & Sue Peck; Paul Palmateer, Anna Platzer, Guillermo Prada, Jerry & Barbara Schacker, Don and Barbara Stephens. Bob offered congratulations to the Geisses and Hardens on the arrival of their new family members, one of whom was present, Benjamin Geiss. Also, it was noted that Maria Corsini had left for West Point Academy and offered our congratulations to her and her parents.

MAILBOX UPDATE Bob Van Voast reported the relocation of the North Shore mailboxes had not met with success, so they will be left where they are and further possibilities will be checked out. A reminder was given to those who do not have their lot numbers up yet.

PUBLIC RELATIONS The Public Relations Committee has sent out three sympathy cards this year. Recently, flowers were sent to the family of George Clark. Bob urged everyone to notify Shirley Haney or Delores Corsini if there was any such news.

WATER SAFETY It was reported that the canoe safety class registration numbers did not warrant a class each year, so it was decided to have a Red Cross class in CPR alternating years. Bernie Sleeper would still plan to have his boating safety course next year.

ROAD COMMITTEE Bob stated the South Shore road conditions should be reported to the Town of Johnstown through Albert Peck and North Shore road conditions to the Town of Bleecker through Dick Cordovano. One day next week, the section of North Shore Road from the stone bridge to the top of Hogue's hill will be impassable when they put down an asphalt base on the road. Bob will try to let all the residents involved know the day before.

REVIEW OF EVENTS The Panfish Derby met with limited success this year. It seems to be a worthwhile project for the children, so the Board will study the project further for another year.
Nancy Deschamps reported on the very successful Social Dinner held August 18th. She said it was fun organizing it and thanked the people who sold tickets. The membership was in favor of having one next year at the same place. Nancy was willing to make the arrangements for next year's dinner which will be set for the second weekend in August. Door prizes were suggested.
There were two successful golf tournaments this year.

NIAGARA MOHAWK Art Leytham made a motion we send a letter to NiMo thanking them for keeping us informed of the water levels planned for the lake. Seconded by Frank Greene, the motion passed.

There are still Peck's Lake maps available. If there are any rules, such as water skiing hours that need to be changed, a group should be formed to negotiate the change with the Pecks. The Pecks did report earlier this summer that there had been vandalism at a water ski float, which was hazardous to everyone skiing. Wellington and Albert Peck were asked if they had any comments. They had none.

Bob Lawrence encouraged more to sign up for the Sailing Regatta this afternoon. The boats are to gather at 1:15pm at Campbell's point where the race will start at 1:30pm. There are 14 entries so far. Trophies are to be given out to the winners. Power boats should stay clear of the area.

Shirley Garrison on behalf of the PLPA membership expressed to Bob Van Voast our appreciation of the great job has has done as president this past year.

A motion was made by Fred Roscher and seconded by Frank Greene to adjourn the meeting. So done at 11:05am.

Respectfully Submitted,
Shirley Garrison, Secretary
