COMMITTEE REPORTS

NORTH SHORE Recommendation was made to petition the Town of Johnstown to take over plowing and sanding of the North Shore Road. Dolores Corsini will pursue this with Town officials. Speeding is still a problem on both roads. Property owners should report speeding to the Sheriff's Department when it is a problem. Several suggestions were made to attempt to alleviate the problem:

ANNUAL DINNER Sandy Suchy reported that the Annual Dinner was very successful with loud music as the only problem. Sandy indicated the the Outlet has been booked for next year. The membership thanked Sandy for doing a fine job.

WATER QUALITY Although committee chairman, Brian Hogan, was not present to give a report, several questions were raised about the feasibility of the Association's purchasing water testing equipment. Brad Richards and others familiar with the committee's work provided some detail on what was needed for water quality testing to occur.
A motion was made by Bob Marsh and seconded by Richard Cordovano to have the committee further investigate the advantages of contracting water quality testings versus purchasing equipment. The committee is to report their findings to the Board, which will make the final determination. The motion was passed. John Peck, Marty Weinstein, Bob Marsh and Ted Hoye volunteered to serve on the committee.

MAILBOXES Hal Clark reported that he was not able to make a motion on changing the Postal Service delivery system due to his being informed by the Postal Service that everyone must want the new service before it can be installed.
President Corsini expressed her frustration and disappointment that members would go to the Postal Service before the Association had the opportunity to decide what it wanted to do. Hal expressed similar disappointment.
Hal reported that Art Schnell had privately petitioned the Postal Service for delivery of mail to his property and other interested should watch that situation. Hal would not pursue a change of service through the Association.
Franke Greene made several comments about the eye sore that the current box arrangement creates and made a motion to empower the Board to pursue the enhancement of what we now have and to provide a design to standardize boxes and to provide a platform space for packages, newspapers, etc. Motion was seconded by Larry Peck and was passed.
